Mr.Mohanan Kumaran from East Ham passed away today 15th January 2021

Mr.Mohanan Kumaran, a Malayalee businessman from East Ham, passed away today due to complications after recovering from Covid 19. 

 He was 66 and was living in Manor Park.  

Mohanan was in hospital but came home over a week ago and tested negative for Covid.

His wife also had Coronavirus infection, but has now recovered.

Mohanan, who was born in Karunagapalli near Kollam in Kerala arrived in the UK during the 90s.

He had a string of business in various sectors including travel and tourism, Restaurant and Catering, Malayalam TV Channel and the ownership of Boleyn Cinema, an independent Cinema house specialised in showing Bollywood and other Asian movies, for over a decade.  

He was well known in East Ham, lovingly called as Mohanan Annan. He had helped several people in East Ham and surrounding areas in setting up businesses, finding jobs and accommodation etc, during the 90s and early part of the millennium.

He will be sadly missed.
